Editor for Low Down Alley Blues

Our regular editor, Joanna Lewandowska, is busy working on what will end up being approximately 144 minutes of The Drama Sessions. However, we are incredibly fortunate to have Nayantara Kotian on board to edit Low Down Alley Blues. Nayantara’s filmography includes One Show Less, a multi-award winning documentary. Made in 2005 it won first prize, Jeevika South Asia Livelihood Documentary Film Festival 2006, India; Special jury mention, the 16th edition of the International Student Short-film Festival of Cergy-Pontoise, France; Best documentary, Asian Festival of First Films 2006, Singapore; Special jury mention, Karafilm Festival 2006, Karachi; Best documentary, IDPA 2007, India. One Show Less concerns itself with the increasing number of single screen cinemas that are shutting down all over India, focusing upon the struggles of one theatre in particular, Usha Talkies. Another of Nayantara’s films, The Other Olympics, was commissioned for and broadcast by Al Jazeera English. Her experience includes editing television documentaries, videos of live performances including theatre and dance shows, short fiction, experimental films and corporate videos. You can see One Show Less by following this link:

It is a beautifully paced film, intelligently thought through, deserving of its awards and well worth seeing. We are looking forward to working with Nayantara on Low Down Alley Blues.
